Guizhou Zhonghang Elevator Co., Ltd. was established in May 2004 with a registered capital of 310 million yuan. It is an advanced equipment manufacturing industry in Guizhou Province that integrates elevator design, production, sales, installation, renovation, and maintenance. Originally under the jurisdiction of China Aviation Industry Group, it was transferred to a first level subsidiary of Zunyi State owned Capital Operation Co., Ltd. (the four major state-owned enterprises in Zunyi) in December 2018. In June 2023, it was adjusted to be directly supervised by the Municipal State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. The company has a national A2 level qualification for elevator production, installation, maintenance, and renovation. It has successively passed the GB/T19001-2016/ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, GB/T45001-2020/ISO45001:2018 occupational health and safety management system, GB/T24001-2016/ISO14001:2015 environmental management system, and mandatory product certification for low-voltage switchgear. Its main products include passenger elevators, medical elevators, freight elevators, escalators, moving sidewalks, intelligent substation systems, and intelligent high and low voltage electrical equipment. Among them, the "AVIC Elevator" brand elevators and the "AVIC Electric Control" brand high and low voltage complete equipment are well-known products in Guizhou Province. The company has also been rated as a provincial-level technology center, a specialized and innovative enterprise, a national "contract abiding and trustworthy" enterprise, an AAA level credit enterprise in Guizhou Province, and a pilot demonstration unit for "Guizhou Industrial Cloud Big Data" and "Guizhou Intelligent Manufacturing".

In the early 1990s, with the support of mature control technology and exquisite manufacturing processes in the aviation industry, AVIC Elevator successfully developed and manufactured elevators, filling the gap in elevator manufacturing technology in Guizhou. In May 2004, AVIC Elevator was officially established and began independent operation. In 2008, through equity restructuring and transformation and upgrading, the company gradually moved towards the fast lane of development.

In 2016, in order to seek new opportunities for enterprise development and respond to the call of the Zunyi Municipal Government to "retreat from the city and enter the park", AVIC Elevator launched a new park construction project and began production in 2017. The new park has a construction area of 110000 square meters, and advanced robot production equipment has been purchased in the production workshop. A fully automated production line has been built to achieve high uniformity and qualification rate of production components, greatly improving product quality. The annual production capacity has increased from 1200 units to 5000 units per shift.

AVIC Elevator has over 200 patents and is currently applying for more than 20 patents. The company's independently developed elevator IoT public service platform can achieve 24-hour remote monitoring of elevators, with functions such as fault prediction, automatic fault alarm, and rapid rescue of trapped people. Through the collection and analysis of elevator operation data, a lifecycle file is established for each elevator, allowing maintenance personnel, quality supervision departments, and users to understand the operation and maintenance progress of elevators anytime and anywhere through mobile intelligent terminals.

The company has established its own talent reserve echelon. At present, there are more than 300 people, including three national skill pacesetters, four national technical experts, three winners of the May 1st Labor Medal in Guizhou Province, and one gold medal worker in Guizhou Province. In the national elevator skill contest held from 2014 to 2023, they fought on behalf of the company for consecutive years, winning one or two places in previous competitions, and successfully won the championship of the five the Belt and Road and BRICS elevator skill contests in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, and 2023, which was nicknamed "prize winning harvester" by industry experts.

AVIC Elevator has always adhered to the corporate purpose of "serving the country through industry and promoting enterprise development through technology", actively responded to the call for "installing elevators in old buildings", vigorously promoted the important livelihood project of adding elevators to lead the smart transformation of old residential areas, served and solved the "one kilometer road" for the people to go home, and fulfilled the responsibility and obligation of state-owned enterprises to promote the well-being and livelihood of the people through practice. At present, the company's products have been distributed throughout the country, with offices located in various provinces, cities, and major cities outside the province. At the same time, AVIC Elevator took the wind of the "the Belt and Road" and successfully exported the elevator to Kyrgyzstan, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Oman and other countries, and successively received invitations from enterprises in Russia, Serbia, Vietnam and other countries for negotiation and cooperation.
