Mr. Yang from Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone contacted the extreme news hotline and asked for help to solve the troubles in his place of residence. On April 23, after communication between reporters and relevant departments, the damaged elevator has resumed operation, and the normal travel of residents in the building where Mr. Yang is located has been guaranteed.

On April 20, Mr. Yang, who lives in the Donghe Guanhu County Community of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, told reporters that in early April this year, he discovered that an elevator in his building had malfunctioned and could not operate. At that time, they told the property, but no one has come to repair it.
Mr. Yang said, "Each unit is equipped with two elevators, and now the 28-storey building relies on one elevator to keep residents traveling, making life extremely inconvenient for everyone. Half a month after the report to the property passed, and I didn't see any maintenance workers." Mr. Yang has reported the matter to his property and the community, but it has not been resolved, so he wanted to ask a reporter to help solve the problem.
Elevator surrounded by warning signs
According to the reporter's understanding, the high-rise where Mr. Yang lives has 28 floors, with 3 households on each floor. Office workers, students and the elderly are the "main force" using elevators ". When it comes to the rush hour, the flow of people is intensive, only one elevator transfer efficiency is very low, and people often quarrel about being able to squeeze into the elevator early, there are certain safety risks. "The day before yesterday, my relatives came to visit me. It took me more than ten minutes to go downstairs to buy a dish during the rush hour, which was very inconvenient." Mr. Yang said helplessly.
Property: Without authorization of the industry committee, the maintenance fund cannot be used.
On April 21, the reporter contacted the property company where the community is located to understand why no one has repaired the elevator.
The property staff said that after the elevator broke down, Mr. Yang reported the situation to the property, and the property also sent people to the site for inspection at the first time. It was found that the elevator was out of service because the steel cable pulling the elevator was damaged and needed to contact the elevator company for maintenance. However, the elevator has passed the warranty period, and the funds needed for maintenance should be deducted from the maintenance fund. According to the normal procedures, it needs to be decided by the community industry committee after discussion, the fund can only be used after it is authorized to the property, and that's exactly where the problem arises.
Maintenance of the elevator staff
According to the property staff, the community's industry committee has been paralyzed since last year. Because the director and deputy director of the industry committee resigned and withdrew, there was a gap in the establishment of the industry committee and it was unable to work normally to exercise its power, so it was unable to complete the work of signing and using the maintenance fund.
Mr. Li, another owner of the community, also confirmed the property's statement and said that he had reported the relevant situation to the Haibin City community where the community is located. The answer was that the industry committee needed to be improved before the construction could be signed and approved. It took half a month, but there was no hope of a solution.
Community coordination: maintenance units act first
On April 22, Mr. Yang contacted the reporter: "this morning, I found that the door of the shutdown elevator had been surrounded by warning signs. There should be workers to repair it."
The reporter contacted the person in charge of the property in the community again. The other party said that the property has officially repaired the suspended elevator, and it is estimated that it will be repaired within two days and resume normal operation. At the same time, he told reporters that the community had held a meeting to discuss before, and the community and the construction and maintenance unit would coordinate to start maintenance and resume elevator operation first, so as to ensure residents' travel as soon as possible. In the later period, he planned to rebuild the staff of the industry committee as soon as possible, complete the formal procedures, and make up the funds for maintenance as soon as possible. Now, the maintenance unit agreed to the plan, the first time on-site maintenance.
Ms. Wang, who is still working in the industry committee, said that the current members of the industry committee are aware of the matter and agree to the community coordination plan. At present, the industry committee is in accordance with the relevant regulations, filling the two directors and deputy directors. After the publicity and filing, the industry committee can carry out its work normally.
