Does the elevator fail?

The first line of defense: generally there are more than 4 wire ropes supporting the elevator, with a safety factor of 12 times. Only one wire is enough to bear all the load, and as long as one wire is broken, it will touch the safety switch to stop the elevator and remind professionals to conduct on-site inspection. The second line of defense: even if the wire rope is completely broken, the speed limiter can prevent the elevator from falling at high speed. If the elevator continues to run due to gravity or inertia, it will trigger a safety gear similar to a car brake, which can stop the elevator steadily. The third line of defense: even if each safety protection device fails, the car pit is also equipped with a buffer, which can slow down the impact of the elevator falling and avoid direct impact on the person taking the elevator. The elevator trapped people is actually the control system detects an abnormal signal, just like braking to stop. Elevators are equipped with ventilation holes, and the top of the car is equipped with ventilation devices.
