Recently, the Daliang Market Supervision and Administration Office of the Shunde District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Foshan City (hereinafter referred to as "Daliang City Supervision Office") launched a special rectification action against sundry elevators used in the catering industry, and "education and law enforcement" was a two-pronged approach to protect the safety of elevators.

It is understood that the dining elevators and food elevators widely used in the catering industry are uniformly named "sundry elevators", which are a kind of special equipment and are supervised by the market supervision and management department. However, some catering practitioners have "blind spots" in the use and management of sundry elevators, and even use illegal installation of "three noes" products.
"I just used to deliver food, and there is no danger, this also need to be rectified?" In the inspection process, this is the most frequently heard law enforcement officers question. Many catering practitioners said that the sundry elevator is only used to transport dishes, will not carry people, the equipment is small, and there should be no life-threatening risk.
However, it is this fluke mentality that leads to many tragedies. Accidents of sundry elevators often occur when food delivery personnel deliver food to the elevator, and the elevator moves unexpectedly, resulting in casualties. Such accidents have occurred in many places across the country, but small elevators that seem to have no risks hide potential safety hazards.
In order to eliminate the safety risk of sundry elevators, Daliang Municipal Supervision Institute organized law enforcement forces to conduct a survey of the areas where the catering industry is relatively concentrated in the jurisdiction, focusing on the sundry elevators that are illegally installed, inspected and registered in multi-storey building catering enterprises. Law enforcement personnel to strengthen the safety publicity and education of enterprises, requiring immediate suspension and rectification within a time limit. In the later "look back" inspection, law enforcement officers seized the sundries elevators that did not take corrective measures and continued to use them, and filed a case for investigation and punishment of the relevant users.
It is reported that since this year, Daliang Municipal Supervision Institute has investigated more than 50 large catering enterprises, sealed up 5 sundry elevators and filed 4 cases.
The relevant person in charge of the Daliang City Supervision Institute stated that as a special equipment, the production, operation, use, inspection, and testing of sundry elevators should comply with relevant safety technical specifications and standards. Sundry elevator (dining elevator) as a special equipment, the relevant catering enterprises should implement the main responsibility of the elevator use manager, so as to purchase the legally produced sundry elevator and through supervision and inspection, hire qualified units to install and inform the construction in the market supervision department. Secondly, after passing the inspection by the inspection agency, go through the registration procedures for the use of special equipment, do not use elevators that have not been inspected or unqualified, and entrust qualified elevator companies to carry out regular maintenance. In addition, it is necessary to establish elevator safety technical files, clarify safety management personnel, and do a good job in safety management such as daily inspections and emergency drills.
