On December 3, the 2023 national industry vocational skills competition-the final of the third national elevator industry vocational skills competition was grandly opened in shaoyang vocational and technical college. It is reported that the 2023 National Industry Vocational Skills Competition-the 3rd National Elevator Industry Vocational Skills Competition is hosted by China Elevator Association, China Employment Training Technical Guidance Center, China Machinery, Metallurgy and Building Materials Union National Committee, China Academy of Building Sciences Co., Ltd. Construction Mechanization Research Branch, Shaoyang Vocational and Technical College undertakes, co-organized by China Elevator Magazine, National Elevator Quality Inspection and Testing Center, Shanghai Xinshida Electric Co., Ltd., Witt Elevator Components (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Beijing Tuxin Technology Co., Ltd., and Pringzhi Education Technology (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. With the theme of "New Era, New Skills, New Dreams", this competition follows the competition principle of "openness, fairness and justice". It aims to innovate the competition form, improve the quality of the competition, promote the results of the competition, and realize the promotion of learning by competition. The positive role of promoting training, promoting evaluation by competition, and promoting construction by competition provides skilled talent support for the construction of the elevator industry.
According to reports, the competition is divided into preliminary and final stage. The preliminaries have been held in 25 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country from October to November 2023. A total of nearly 3000 contestants participated in the selection, and 160 contestants stood out to advance to the finals. The 160 players from 25 provincial teams across the country who entered the finals will have a 3-day skill competition. The finals will take a combination of theoretical knowledge assessment and skill operation to compete in 5 modules, including 3 practical operation modules: model frame installation, door system maintenance and debugging, complete machine debugging and troubleshooting, as well as the replacement of the handrail belt drive device, the installation of the load-bearing beam of the traction machine, the positioning and adjustment of the traction machine, a virtual simulation project and a theoretical knowledge investigation. It mainly inspects the ability of the contestants' elevator installation and debugging and troubleshooting, and at the same time tests the professionalism of the contestants' elevator installation and debugging operations. There are two groups in the finals: the staff group and the student group. The top three contestants in the staff group in the finals are submitted to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the the People's Republic of China of China for approval and are awarded the title of "National Technical Expert"; the first overall score in the finals The staff and workers who meet the conditions shall be reported to the National Committee of the China Machinery, Metallurgy and Building Materials Union according to the procedures, and recommend participate in the "National May 1st Labor Medal".
The holding of this competition not only builds a platform for elevator skilled talents to show their skill level, but also accelerates the training of a large number of high-quality, skilled, and industry-leading high-quality workers and high-skilled talents in the elevator industry, and further promotes the construction of elevator skilled personnel.
