Do you know how dangerous it is to take the elevator every day?

With the continuous development of China's economic level and the deepening of urbanization, more and more high-rise buildings are rising, and high-rise buildings are gradually appearing in our lives. Accompanied by the elevator in our daily life in the frequency is more and more high. Our lives have become increasingly inseparable from the elevator. At ordinary times, elevators will be used in various occasions such as going home to work, shopping and consumption.

Do you know how dangerous it is to take the elevator every day? Many people actually don't know that the elevator belongs to special equipment according to the law of our country. According to the "the People's Republic of China Special Equipment Safety Law" passed at the third meeting of the Standing Committee of the Twelfth National People's Congress on June 29, 2013, special equipment refers to boilers that are more dangerous to personal and property safety., Pressure vessels (including gas cylinders), pressure pipes, elevators, lifting machinery, passenger ropeways, large amusement facilities, special motor vehicles in the field (factory), and other special equipment to which this Law is applicable as prescribed by laws and administrative regulations.

It is clear that special equipment is a facility that has a greater risk to personal and property safety. The elevator is one of them. According to the notice of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration on the safety status of special equipment in 2019, there were 33 elevator accidents and 29 deaths, ranking third in the number of special equipment accidents in 2019.

From the analysis of the causes of the accident, the causes of the accident are mainly divided into three categories. First, accidents occurred due to improper use and management, accounting for about 87.10 per cent of the total. Illegal operation is still the main cause of accidents, which is manifested as illegal operation, improper operation or even unlicensed operation, lack of maintenance, poor management and so on. Second, accidents caused by quality and safety defects in equipment manufacturing, maintenance, installation and disassembly, and operation accounted for about 8.60 per cent. Third, accidents caused by other secondary causes, accounting for about 4.30 per cent.

There were 9 cases of illegal operation or improper operation in elevator accidents, 1 case of unlicensed operation, 4 cases of equipment defects and failure of safety components or protection devices, 2 cases of improper emergency rescue (self-rescue), and 8 cases of inadequate safety management and maintenance.

The safe use of elevators is closely related to each of us. We should pay attention:

Fourth, see if there is a "stop ladder inspection" sign. If there is, passengers should not take it. See if there is a safety inspection pass mark issued by the market supervision department, and if it is within the validity period, both have both to ensure safety. To see if it is overloaded, when the elevator is overloaded and gives an alarm, it should take the initiative to quit so as not to cause safety accidents. To see if the operation is normal, after the elevator stops, whether the elevator car floor is flush with the floor. If it is uneven, it indicates that the elevator has a fault and the elevator user shall be notified.

Four no: do not block the elevator door. when the elevator door is about to close, do not forcibly rush into the elevator door to prevent the elevator from closing. Don't press the emergency button casually; Don't take the elevator in case of fire. If the elevator door is not closed, it means that the elevator is faulty. Passengers outside the elevator should not enter. Passengers already in the elevator should not jump out of the elevator during operation to avoid injury.

Trapped personnel emergency "quadrilogy": the first step: keep calm, stabilize their emotions, and never climb out of the elevator by themselves; the second step: find the emergency alarm device in the elevator and ask for help from the outside through the alarm device; the third step: check whether the elevator provides a distress call, and dial the distress call to the outside for help; the fourth step: after sending out the distress message, take relevant measures under the guidance of professionals, do not take wrong self-rescue actions such as prying the door or picking the door without authorization. You should wait in the elevator for professionals to open the door for rescue. After being rescued, you should leave the elevator quickly under the guidance of professionals.

I hope everyone can go to work happily and go home safely.
