"Elevators, as vertical vehicles and special equipment, have grown rapidly in recent years, and have become the largest and fastest growing public transport after automobiles. Therefore, the supervision, maintenance and development of elevators should also make progress with the times." At the two sessions this year, Wu Yulian, a representative of the National People's Congress and a teacher of Taishan Li Shufen Memorial Middle School, put forward "Several Suggestions on Deepening Elevator Reform."
Wu Yulian pointed out in the proposal that there are still many problems in elevator supervision and maintenance, such as overwork of inspectors, authority of inspection and testing institutions, and non-standard elevator maintenance market.
Wu Yulian suggested that elevator inspection and testing institutions need to ensure their authority. If special equipment inspection and testing institutions are transformed from institutions to enterprises, there is a tendency to dilute their authority. Therefore, she suggested that the reform should not be too hasty before the conditions are ripe, and that the problems of personnel social security and employment system should be solved. At the same time, elevator inspection and testing institutions can cooperate with manufacturers to carry out technological development, product innovation, and create more Chinese patents and intellectual property rights. In view of the elevator maintenance market, she proposed that the industry association should take the lead to determine a minimum maintenance fee according to the local actual situation and announce it to the public.
