There are 4 old elevators that have been in use for more than 20 years in the open source road community in Liangxi District. The annual inspection expired in early April this year and was found to be unqualified by Wuxi Special Inspection Institute, so it was stopped.
As 70% of the residents in the community are elderly people, their legs and feet are not flexible, and the suspension of the elevator has caused the problem of "difficulty in getting up and down", which affects their daily normal life.
According to reports, Kaiyuan Road Community was built in the early 1990 s with a total of 181 households, consisting of 4 multi-storey buildings without elevators and 4 small high-rise buildings with elevators. The four elevators that were shut down on April 2 were all on the roadside along Yinglong. Among them, 2 buildings are 11 floors high, 1 building is 10 floors high, and 1 building is 12 floors high, involving 112 households. Building 29 is the tallest building in the neighborhood. The elevator was out of service for more than 20 days, and the residents felt very inconvenient.
"Life is really inconvenient. The key is that this is just the beginning." Du Jianliang, the owner of the 8th floor, told reporters that most of the community is elderly, and there are disabled people in Building 28. Now he goes home and climbs two floors and takes a rest, otherwise his body will be too much for him. He said that the elevator parts here are aging, and there have been some failures in the past few years, but it is not always a matter to repair them. Jian Ying, the industry director who lives in the 601 of Building 29, said that after the elevator stopped on April 2, it was very inconvenient to go upstairs and downstairs to buy vegetables every day. She hopes that the relevant departments can fix the elevator as soon as possible so that they can return to normal life as soon as possible.
According to residents, according to the plan previously issued by the property company, one is maintenance and the other is complete replacement. With the consent of the 2/3 owners, most of the residents in these 4 buildings require the replacement of elevators. In their view, the elevator that has been in service for more than 20 years is too old after all. Even if it is repaired, it may not be long before it will be repaired, and the new elevator will be replaced "in one step". A new elevator will cost about 150000 yuan, but Ren Jianying estimated that it would cost more than 2700 yuan. According to Wuxi's 40% subsidy policy, her family may eventually have to pay more than 1600 yuan.
The owner of one of the buildings has raised funds, and the production and installation of the new ladder is currently in the process of capital flow approval. As a market supervision department, it is also trying its best to speed up the approval process with the streets, communities, and housing construction departments.
"The owner of building 28 has all the funds in place, and the remaining three buildings are still in the stage of fund raising negotiation." At present, it has been confirmed that Jiangsu Zhanxun Elevator Engineering Co., Ltd. will replace the new elevator. After the approval of the new elevator, it will take about two months from the removal of the original elevator to the customization of new parts to the installation and operation.
