After Yangzhou issued the guidance on the pilot work of installing elevators in old residential areas in 2018, many old residential areas were equipped with elevators to start "acceleration". By the end of 2019, 18 residential areas and 24 elevators in our city had been completed and put into use.
However, some communities have a smooth process from application to installation, while others are stuck in the first step of consulting public opinion. The residents' opinions are difficult to unify and become a "roadblock" to the installation of elevators ".
The guiding opinions on the pilot work of installing elevators in our city follow the principle of "voluntary owners, leading by various districts, and multi-party support. According to the guidance, the installation of elevators in existing residential buildings shall be approved by the owners whose exclusive part of the building accounts for more than 2/3 of the total area of the building and more than 2/3 of the total number of households, and shall be unanimously agreed and signed by all the owners of the unit where the elevator is installed. "Multi-platform Deliberative Mode"-Jiangling Garden
As the city's first to install the elevator model building Jiangling Garden, there are many successful experiences. Chen Jun, who was responsible for coordinating the installation of elevators in Shurenyuan Community, told reporters that there are more than 1000 residents in Jiangling Garden Community, more than 75% of whom are elderly residents, and there is a high demand for the installation of elevators. First of all, the residents actively cooperate with the community to establish a number of discussion platforms.
