The owner said that she had lived in Unit 2, Building 2, of the residential area for more than a year. During this period, the elevators in the unit building often failed, and a particularly thrilling scene occurred the day before.
At 6 o'clock in the afternoon on the 16th, she took the elevator from the first floor to go home, but after the elevator door was closed, she did not go up, but suddenly fell to the negative first floor. At that time, there were 9 people in the elevator, and everyone immediately panicked.
In the panic, some owners forcibly opened the elevator door with their hands to save themselves, and everyone got out of the elevator. Due to panic, they all chose to walk the stairs back to their respective floors.
The elevator was maintained the day before.
The alarm device in the car does not respond.
On the afternoon of the 17th, a reporter from Guangyuan News visited the incident area and found that the area was an elevator apartment with 2 buildings and 4 units, with a total of 8 elevators. Regulations on the use of elevators are posted at the elevators of each unit building. In the car, the maintenance records of the elevator company are also clear at a glance. The latest maintenance time is August 15, 2021, the day before the incident.
The reporter came to Unit 2 of Building 2 where the situation occurred and found that Elevator 8 had stopped running and only Elevator 7 was working normally. There are notices posted on both elevator doors-the contents on elevator door 7 are: "the elevator is limited to 9 people to avoid closing the elevator"; The content on the 8th elevator door is: "the 8th elevator has broken wire rope. in order to ensure safety, the elevator has already ordered wire rope from the manufacturer and is expected to be shut down for 5 days."
The reporter took the No.7 elevator experience and felt that the overall operation was stable and normal, and there was no abnormal situation. However, when pressing the alarm button, it was found that there was no response.
Elevator use for nearly 10 years

According to the person in charge of the property company surnamed Wu, due to the damage of the No. 8 elevator wire rope has been shut down, only the No. 7 elevator is currently working normally. On the afternoon of the 16th, the owners all took the No. 7 elevator, which caused the actual number of people in the elevator to exceed 9.
"The staff of the maintenance company will come to replace the wire rope of elevator 8 soon." The person in charge said that after the two elevators work normally, they will effectively avoid overloading of personnel, and there will be no more elevator falling.
The reporter visited the scene and found that the information posted in the elevator car showed that the elevator was loaded with 13 people, why did it fall down when taking 9 people? In this regard, the elevator maintenance company staff who are replacing the wire rope explained that the district elevator has been used for almost 10 years, the elevator traction machine appeared old phenomenon, so it can not be installed a few years ago when the number of people on board the provisions of the number of people.
