"Decoration materials are banned from elevators, and offenders will be fined 1000 yuan!" A Hangzhou owner basks in the "convention" of the community: quite fresh
The installation of elevator livelihood projects in old residential areas in Hangzhou has benefited many high-rise residents in old residential areas, especially those elderly residents. While enjoying the convenience, they often cherish the elevator facilities very much.
How much love?There is a community even for the introduction of a special "elevator convention".
A reader who recently moved to Yongjin Garden in Shangcheng District of Hangzhou gave a special report to the backstage of Qianjiang Evening News: "I haven't seen it anywhere else. It feels fresh and good."
The reader said that the reason why he knew about the "elevator convention" was that he had just bought a second-hand house here and used the elevator when decorating and carrying things. As a result, he was told by his neighbors that according to the "elevator convention", the decoration materials in our community could not be used on the elevator......
What are the specific regulations of this "elevator convention" and how are the owners complying with them?
It's not easy to install an elevator.

This morning (May 16), the hourly news reporter came to Yongjin Garden.
There are 4 buildings, each with 6 units, most of which have been equipped with elevators. The elevator has a credit card area and a face area.
"Yongjin Garden has been built for more than 20 years and is an old community. The time for installing elevators in each unit is different, and we should have completed it around 2019." Ms. Li, who lives in Unit 2, Building 4, Yongjin Garden, told reporters.

There are also some elevator rooms with warm tips from the decoration owners. According to the phone number left behind, the hour news reporter called the owner surnamed Shen, "my home decoration is in the final stage, and posting this warm reminder is also convenient for communication with neighbors." Mr. Shen said that the regulation that "decoration materials cannot be used in elevators" was specially told to him by the property when he moved. He also quite understood: "This elevator was installed in the community in recent years. It is very precious. The purpose is to make it more convenient for the owners to go upstairs and downstairs. If the decoration materials enter the elevator, it may cause damage to the elevator."

The relevant person in charge said that the installation of elevators in the community is operated and maintained by each unit. "Each unit has an installation elevator team, which is established by the owners themselves, and they are responsible for the specific matters."
The reporter learned from the Labor Road community where Yongjin Garden is located that there are currently 8 additional elevators in the community. Since 2018, each unit has been installed one after another. The latest one was installed last year. "The owners of Yongjin Garden put forward the idea of installing elevators relatively early, but it took a lot of time to finally land, mainly in the early communication." The relevant person in charge of the community said.
Mr. Zhang, unit 2 of building 3 in the residential area, is one of the persons in charge of installing elevators in the unit. "I am one of the earliest residents in the residential area. as a high-rise resident, I heard that elevators can be installed in the residential area around 2016, and I have been looking forward to installing elevators."
However, the proposal of "installing elevators" also attracted some owners' incomprehension. "The main disagreement is that the low-rise residents feel that the installation of elevators will affect their lighting, ventilation and other conditions. It took two years for our elevator installation team to communicate with the community staff." Mr. Zhang said.
"Although at first in the communication with some of the owners to eat a few closed doors, but we are not discouraged, has been patiently come to the door to persuade. Because of the high-rise residents more elderly people, plus the past neighborhood relations are quite harmonious, and eventually our unit all agreed to install elevators." Mr. Zhang said.
Where the receiving site is located, the elevator car installed in Yongjin Garden Community has an area of about 90cm × 120cm, bearing more than 400kg, and can only seat 4 people at a time.

No fines have been imposed so far.
"The elevators in our community are only for residents' daily travel. Mr. Zhang said that all units have unified the specifications for installing elevators, and owners can use them by brushing their faces or swiping their cards.
The reporter learned that the maintenance cost of an additional elevator is about 6000 yuan a year, which is shared by the owner.
In addition to decoration materials, battery cars, etc. are also not allowed to enter the elevator.
"since it has been in operation for more than four years, everyone usually takes good care of the elevator, and they all have the consciousness of not bringing decoration materials into the elevator." Mr. Zhang said.
"The main decoration materials that cannot enter the elevator are cement, yellow sand, water pipes, etc., because these materials are not only too heavy, but also easy to cause damage to the elevator. We will inform the owners in advance when they enter the site for decoration." The person in charge of the property said that the notice posted at the elevator entrance is more of a reminder, "basically everyone can abide by it", so no fines have been imposed so far.
