In fact, the elevator wire rope is not so fragile. Elevator cars are all drawn by wire ropes, and the greater the load, the more the number of wire ropes. For elevators in general residential buildings, there are at least 3 wire ropes, each wire rope has about 10 small steel strands, and each steel strand has 10 steel wires. In principle, all wire ropes need to be replaced as long as one strand is broken.
In theory, a steel wire rope can withstand all the gravity of the elevator car, and there is only one left without worrying about the car falling. Moreover, the probability of all broken wire rope is very small.
Rumor three: "trapped elevator can open the door to save themselves"
Forced to open the elevator door is to put yourself in a dangerous area, and in this area, the car and the ground appear dislocation, prone to fall into the shaft and the elevator accidentally started caused by the shear accident.
Rumor four: "trapped elevator will suffocate"
In fact, the national standard "GB7588-2003 Elevator Manufacturing and Installation Safety Code" has made relevant regulations on elevator ventilation.
