Entering the elevator to brush her face was questioned. A woman was 1.65 meters tall and jumped five times in the elevator to brush her face successfully.

On February 14, a female netizen in Yantai, Shandong Province uploaded a video to complain, saying that a face recognition system was installed in the elevator of the building. She was 1.65 meters tall and jumped five times to complete the face recognition. The woman said wryly that her height was another drag on Shandong people and she felt offended.

According to the "Report on Nutrition and Chronic Diseases of Chinese Residents (2020)", the average height of men and women aged 18-44 in China is 169.7cm and 158cm respectively. If a girl of 1.65 meters has to jump hard to get the face recognition system, I'm afraid many people are "hard to escape". Jumping inside the elevator affects elevator safety.

In addition, according to the personal information protection law, the abuse of face recognition system, taking advantage of the public's weak awareness of personal information protection, to provide services on the premise of collecting and processing personal information, strictly speaking, this is already a violation of the law.

In fact, if the managers of the buildings involved respect the rights and interests of the owners or property users in accordance with the law, they should provide alternative verification methods to choose from, instead of letting people jump up and "brush their faces" repeatedly in order to take an elevator, creating potential safety hazards at multiple levels.
