Blind self-rescue = suicide! A woman was trapped in an "elevator" and tried to save herself by grabbing the steel wire rope, but instead fell to the bottom of the well and was seriously injured.

Recently, a female worker in Changge City, Xuchang, Henan Province accidentally fell into the "elevator" shaft and was unable to escape, creating a very urgent situation. It was later understood that this elevator was actually a "lifting device."

After the fire rescue personnel arrived at the scene, they learned that a female worker was riding the lift when it suddenly malfunctioned. The worker attempted to escape by grabbing the lift's traction steel wire rope, but unfortunately fell from the ground into the elevator shaft about 5 meters deep.

Although the female worker was conscious, she had multiple fractures in her arms and cervical vertebrae and could not escape on her own.

Rescue personnel used a six-meter ladder, carrying safety ropes, multi-functional rescue stretchers, and other tools to reach the basement level, where they bandaged and secured the female worker to ensure no secondary injuries occurred during the rescue. They then lifted her onto a multi-functional rescue stretcher and pulled her to the ground manually.

In the end, the female worker was successfully rescued and sent for medical treatment.

As of now, the rescued female worker has been out of life-threatening danger. When elevators/lifting devices malfunction, many people's first reaction is panic and a rush to escape. However, incorrect escape methods can be fatal!
