"The fully automated assembly line we launched in 2024 has entered the debugging stage and is expected to be officially put into use in March," said Hu Ming, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Guizhou AVIC Elevator Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as AVIC Elevator), who recently told reporters that the company will further strengthen its digital transformation and upgrade, allowing traditional manufacturing to ride the cloud and become "intelligent."

As the only advanced equipment manufacturing industry in Guizhou that integrates elevator design, production, sales, installation, transformation, and maintenance, in recent years, AVIC Elevator has seized opportunities, accelerated the integration of digital and physical, and utilized 5G "Internet+" technology to build a modern "smart factory," successfully transforming into a digital enterprise of "intelligent manufacturing + intelligent services."
"The workshop adopts the most advanced process flow internationally, and the company's production capacity has increased from 1,200 elevators per year to 15,000 units, becoming a demonstration enterprise for intelligent manufacturing of end products, greatly enhancing the company's core competitiveness," said Li Shijiang, Deputy Director of the R&D Center of AVIC Elevator. He told reporters that in addition to purchasing advanced robotic production equipment for the workshop, AVIC Elevator has also introduced "MES" and "ERP" information management systems, established fully automated production lines, and formed a full lifecycle management model, overseeing the entire process from contract signing to production scheduling, delivery, installation, and after-sales service.

As a result, product quality has significantly improved—this has laid a solid foundation for AVIC Elevator to obtain Central Asia EAC certification and EU CE certification, opening overseas markets and selling Guizhou elevators to more than 60 countries and regions.
In 2014, AVIC Elevator also independently developed an elevator Internet of Things public service platform and continuously iterated and upgraded it. This platform can achieve 24-hour remote monitoring of elevators, fault prediction, automatic fault alarm, and quick rescue for trapped people.
"We establish a full lifecycle file for each elevator, allowing maintenance personnel, quality supervision departments, and users to understand the elevator's operating status and maintenance progress anytime and anywhere through mobile smart terminals, turning 'timely maintenance' into 'on-demand maintenance.'" Li Congquan, Director of the Big Data Center of AVIC Elevator, believes that this method is more efficient and convenient than traditional methods, with efficient data collection and analysis to prevent problems before they occur.
On the digital screen in the production area, work order progress is scrolling in real-time.
Currently, the elevator Internet of Things management platform has connected more than 3,000 elevators independently developed by AVIC Elevator, achieving 24-hour monitoring and data collection of elevator operating status through the "platform + mobile end."
In addition, by utilizing the powerful data collection and sharing capabilities of 5G Internet, AVIC Elevator has achieved efficient integration of logistics, capital flow, and information flow, greatly enhancing the efficiency of enterprise management and decision-making.
Hu Ming said that technological innovation is productivity, and the company is committed to the research and development of core elevator technologies. As of now, it has more than 200 technology patents, with an annual output value exceeding 520 million yuan in 2024, and has won honors such as the Aerospace Quality Management Award and the first Guizhou Quality Award.
