Currently, the hot spring season in Xianning, Hubei has entered its peak consumption period. Recently, reporters from Jimu News accompanied the Xianning market supervision department to conduct law enforcement inspections at the Xianning Country Garden Phoenix Hot Spring Hotel.
At the hotel elevator facilities, staff first checked the elevator maintenance records and asked hotel staff if they had arranged for personnel to be on duty 24 hours a day. The staff then tested the elevator emergency call device, "Hello, checking your elevator emergency situation." "Okay, I have seen you in the elevator, is there anything I can help you with?" The hotel duty staff immediately responded.
"We have specifically signed a maintenance company for our elevators, and regular maintenance and upkeep are conducted, including our own security personnel and staff participating in fire drills and elevator rescue training every quarter. In the elevator monitoring center, we have also increased a 24-hour double-staff duty system to ensure that someone can handle emergencies in a timely manner," said Wang Huaqiang, deputy general manager of the Country Garden Phoenix Hot Spring Hotel.
"Currently, the market supervision departments in our 12 counties and districts are taking swift action, closely monitoring important disaster-causing factors such as 'fire, explosion, collapse, collision, drowning, and crowding' that can lead to mass casualties, focusing on special equipment such as boilers, gas cylinders, pressure vessels, pressure pipelines, elevators, lifting machinery, and large amusement facilities in schools, scenic spots, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, supermarkets, residential communities, gas filling units, and chemical production enterprises, checking the implementation of main responsibilities, the execution of regulations, equipment operation and maintenance, compliance with operational procedures, and emergency duty and disposal, to prevent slackness, rebound, and accidents," said a relevant person in charge of the Xianning Market Supervision Bureau.
Xiangyang market supervision department inspects gas cylinder filling safety.
Since December 25, the Chongyang market supervision department has inspected 59 special equipment user units, checked 182 special equipment, inspected 260 food production and operation units, checked 85 village clinics and retail pharmacies, and inspected 72 merchants dealing with fireworks, firecrackers, and gas appliances, discovering and rectifying 63 safety hazards.
Jimu News reporters learned that before the New Year, the Hubei Provincial Market Supervision Bureau had dispatched three inspection teams to Xiangyang, Jingzhou, Xianning, and other places, focusing on safety supervision and inspection of key areas and equipment such as liquefied petroleum gas filling stations, elevators in crowded places, and large amusement facilities, checking the regular inspection of special equipment, personnel holding certificates, and the implementation of main responsibilities on-site, requiring enterprises to strengthen safety awareness, highlight risk hazard investigation and management, and ensure the safe operation of equipment during the holiday.
