"It is our duty to provide the public with fast, comfortable, and safe elevators," said Hu Ming, a representative of the provincial people's congress and the party secretary and chairman of Guizhou Zhonghang Elevator Co., Ltd.
Since its establishment in 2004, Zhonghang Elevator has become an advanced equipment manufacturing enterprise integrating elevator design, production, installation, renovation, and maintenance. It has been recognized as a provincial-level technology center, a specialized and innovative enterprise, a national "contract-abiding and trustworthy" enterprise, and one of the first pilot demonstration units for "Guizhou Industrial Cloud Big Data" and "Guizhou Province Intelligent Manufacturing."
"We are a production enterprise based on customer orders. Recently, the company is conducting follow-up communications with customers to prepare for a good start in the new year," Hu Ming said. In 2023, we maintained steady growth; in 2024, we hope to continue expanding foreign trade and send more elevators abroad.
Since 2019, Zhonghang Elevator has taken advantage of the "Belt and Road" initiative to export its products. In addition to establishing business cooperation relationships, Zhonghang Elevator has also sent technical personnel to Uzbekistan for technical guidance, which not only expanded the overseas market but also enhanced friendly relations with foreign friends.
During the provincial two sessions in 2023, Hu Ming proposed suggestions regarding the rapid development of intelligent manufacturing in the equipment manufacturing industry. Over the past year, Guizhou has focused on digital empowerment of industry to promote high-quality development, with digital transformation as the main direction and innovative applications of new generation information technology in ten industrial sub-scenarios as breakthroughs, stimulating the role of data elements, cultivating cross-border integration ecology, and enhancing the integration of industrialization and informatization. At the same time, Guizhou has introduced several policy measures to support the digital transformation of the industrial sector, systematically increasing support from multiple perspectives such as enterprises, regions, and ecology; formulating and implementing the "Guidance Directory for Accelerating Industrial Internet Innovation Development in the Provincial Industrial Sector" and the "Digital Transformation Path for Key Industries in Guizhou's Industrial Sector," and carrying out actions for digital transformation in the industrial sector, achieving new results.
"Zhonghang Elevator is the largest among the three state-owned enterprises in the elevator field in the province, and the social responsibility it bears is also greater," Hu Ming expressed great anticipation for the provincial two sessions and will propose suggestions on the renovation of old residential areas and the construction of smart communities.
