"Talent, management, system, and market are important factors driving high-quality development of enterprises." Provincial People's Congress representative, Hu Ming, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Guizhou Zhonghang Elevator Co., Ltd., stated that these four elements are also key to the development of his company.

How state-owned enterprises can develop steadily, serve society well, and serve the public well has always been a question Hu Ming has pondered. This year at the provincial two sessions, Hu Ming brought suggestions regarding the innovation-driven high-quality development of state-owned enterprises. In his suggestions, he proposed thoughts on introducing talent as needed and designing a good talent exit mechanism, scientifically planning and executing the medium and long-term development of enterprises, flexibly reforming the system and mechanism within the national regulations, and reasonably utilizing the local market to promote better growth of enterprises.
Previously, Hu Ming also proposed multiple suggestions regarding the mixed-ownership reform of state-owned enterprises, which have been implemented at Zhonghang Elevator. For example, more than 50 senior executives and technical personnel who contributed to the company's development have benefited from the company's development "cake" in terms of shares. "We do not only base treatment on academic qualifications; as long as the business and technology are solid, one can earn a satisfactory salary. We want professionals to do professional work in suitable positions," Hu Ming said. With the incentive mechanism in place, the company continues to innovate technologically, and the market competitiveness of its products has been increasing year by year, not only dominating the domestic market but also expanding in overseas markets.
Zhonghang Elevator is the only advanced equipment manufacturing enterprise in Guizhou that integrates elevator design, production, installation, transformation, and maintenance, with a fully automated production line and over 200 patents. It is also one of the three state-owned elevator manufacturing enterprises in the country, with state-owned capital accounting for 93%. "Not long ago, we received orders from countries such as Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Last year, we exported more than 40 elevators, and this year we will exceed 200 units, while also ensuring the production and export of spare parts, aiming for an export value of over 20 million US dollars," Hu Ming said.
