Recently, the elevator in Building 26 of Tongji Yazhu Community in Zhongshan Street has been equipped with a parking system. Once residents push the battery car into the elevator car, the elevator will automatically identify and give an alarm through infrared sensing, and the elevator door cannot be closed. The phenomenon of battery car entering the elevator is gone, and the potential safety hazard of charging at home is also eliminated.

According to Gu Cuihong, Party branch secretary of Tongji Yazhu residential area, there are many high-rise buildings in Tongji Yazhu residential area. Building 26 is a staircase and four households, with a total of 54 households. Nearly half of the residents have battery cars and a large number of battery cars. Although there are battery car charging equipment in the residential area, many residents are used to pushing battery cars directly into elevators and charging them at home, which may cause fire and other safety hazards. In the past, the community used property and Ping An volunteer civil air defense, but with little effect. Now this phenomenon has been fundamentally eliminated through the interception system.

Komatsu saw at the scene that when residents pushed the battery car into the elevator, the elevator stop system immediately issued a voice warning, while the monitoring camera flashed and issued a warning light. The car door cannot be closed until the residents push the battery car out of the elevator. At present, the system will be piloted on the 26th and is expected to be promoted in other buildings in the later period.

Resident Cheng Chundi said that in the past, whenever he saw two or three cars charging in the corridor, he always felt uneasy. Now with the elevator stop system, the phenomenon of charging at home is gone, and the residents' sense of security has also improved.
