Recently,The People's Court of Yushu City publicly tried a criminal case of fraud by forging an official seal and using a false project contract.. For fraud, the defendant Wang was sentenced to 3 years and 4 months in prison and fined 100000 yuan. The defendant Wang was ordered to refund the economic losses of the victim Li 20000 yuan.

After trial, it was found that Wang was a staff member of elm project department of a construction engineering company.,In the name of the project department, the special contract seal of a construction company in Changchun was forged, knowing that the installation of elevators in the old building in Wukeshu Town did not have the approval procedures of relevant departments, and that he did not have the authority to contract out the project and collect relevant fees.On October 22, 2019, he signed a contract with the victim Han Mou for the installation of elevators in the old building of Wukeshu Town,defrauding Han of RMB 160000 yuan(After the incident, the family has refunded all the economic losses on behalf of the defendant). And then again in the same nameFalsely claimed to contract the installation of elevators in an old building in a residential area in Yushu City to the victim Li, and defrauded Li of RMB 20000 on June 30, 2020 on the grounds that he needed to pay a deposit.
The court heard that the defendant Wang Mou for the purpose of illegal possession, fictional facts, concealing the truth, defrauding other people's property, the amount is huge, its behavior has constituted the crime of fraud.In view of the defendant's confession, his family refunded most of the economic losses on his behalf, and obtained the understanding of some of the victims, and could be given a lighter punishment according to law, so the above judgment was made.
The judge reminded that when contracting a project, you must know the true situation of the project in advance, and go to the project's contracting unit and relevant departments to conduct on-site investigations and verifications. Don't be deceived by the lies of criminals because you are eager to make money.
