Recently, the reader Mr. Xiong reported to the upstream news hotline 966966/upstream news APP that the pedestrian bridge elevator located next to the bus station in Nanping No.2 residential area was broken, affecting the travel of nearby people. It is hoped that after the upstream news reports, the relevant departments can pay attention to it and let the two elevators supporting the overpass be restored as soon as possible. The upstream news called the Nanan District Municipal Management Facilities Management Office and learned that the elevator was not broken and could not be used because there was no maintenance unit for the time being.

The overpass has one elevator on each side of Nancheng Avenue, and neither elevator is in use now. As there were no signs of failure maintenance and suspension of use beside the elevator, the upstream journalists saw that many citizens thought the elevator was still in use and made a special trip to the elevator door to find that the elevator was not in use. A Ms. Li who lives nearby told the upstream news reporter that she was over 70 years old and came to see if the elevator was ready every day. I didn't expect that half a month had passed.
The owner of the fruit shop next to the elevator also confirmed Li Nainai's statement, "These two elevators stopped before May Day. It has been out of use for half a month. Often people don't know that they can't use them and go to prepare for the ride. There are many elderly people living near here. After the elevator cannot be used, it is really inconvenient for them to cross the street. There are also some nearby citizens who travel with luggage, heavy objects, and strollers. The inability to use the elevator has a greater impact on them."
The upstream news reporter saw the telephone number of the municipal facilities management office of Nan 'an district, the overpass management unit, under the stairs of the overpass. after dialing the telephone, he learned that the two elevators were not broken, but could not operate normally because there was no maintenance unit at present. The staff said that the elevator belongs to special equipment and must have a maintenance unit to operate. At present, the relevant departments are bidding for the maintenance of the elevator here, and it can be used normally after the maintenance unit is determined. I hope the public can understand. However, as to when the bidding for the maintenance unit will end, the staff member said that other departments are responsible for it, and he is not clear.
