However, recently, the "Listening Hotline" platform received a report that the elevators in Building 8 of Yixin Garden Community in Qinhuai District had been out of service for a week, and the owners had to climb the stairs to go home. Some elderly people called "unbearable".
Yixin Garden was built in 2001. The buildings are all small and high-rise buildings with 11 floors. Mrs. Deng lives on the 10th floor of 8 buildings. She is more than 80 years old this year, and her legs are fairly sharp. She goes downstairs to buy vegetables and lift her legs every day, which depends on the elevator in the community. "We old people can't stand climbing stairs. Our knees will wear out." She said. But on July 16, eight elevators suddenly stopped operating.
On the morning of July 22, the reporter came to Building 8 of Yixin Garden Community. The elevator had stopped running and the word "overhaul" was displayed on the key display screen.
"The elevator is running jittery, the main engine is noisy, and the elevator is not flat." The notice letter of Nanjing Yueli Elevator Installation Engineering Co., Ltd., the elevator maintenance unit, shows that there are many problems with this elevator in Building 8, and there are also accidents of trapping people. "The company's technicians found that during the operation of the main engine, there was abnormal noise inside the traction machine, confirming that the main engine was damaged and could no longer be used. At the same time, through inspection, it is found that the rope groove of the traction wheel and the guide wheel is seriously worn, and the main wire rope is seriously worn, and there is a danger of wire breakage and slipping. If it continues to be used, it will cause elevator safety accidents. In order to avoid accidents, the company cut off the power supply of the elevator and stopped the use of the elevator."
To this end, the reporter came to the management of the district "true property" office. The staff introduced that the elevator was seriously damaged and could only be replaced. "I'm sure I can open it for them, but it's dangerous. Now we can't even repair it, we have to change the elevator." Admittedly, a staff member of the property said.
But now, the elevator has been out of service for a week, but there is still no sign of construction. 55 households, including Mrs. Deng, can't stand it.
"I have to climb the building three times a day. Every time I climb, I have to rest three times in the middle, catch my breath and then climb again. I will sweat profusely when I climb up. Who can stand it?" Mrs. Deng said.
According to residents, there are more than 40 households in 8 buildings with elderly people, and there are 4 households over 80 years old. The elevator is closed, and the elderly with bad legs and feet are the most affected.
"how should we repair it? who will repair it? how much does it cost? we must come up with a solution. if we stop for one more day now, we will climb one more day." Another elderly owner of Building 8 said.
Why has the elevator been delayed? It is true that the property staff said that the property had recommend an elevator company to the owners, but the owners were not satisfied and they were choosing other elevator companies.
"The owner has to choose his own (elevator company). It has not yet been determined (which one). There will be a meeting to determine it." The staff said.
Qin Hong Street Property Management Office replied that the elevator here no longer has the possibility of safe operation and will not run again. The replacement of elevators in residential quarters belongs to the maintenance and repair of public facilities and should be repaired by applying for maintenance funds. It is understood that after determining the elevator construction unit, the entire installation and construction period will be around 2-3 months. At present, the property management office has contacted the community management committee and the property company, and many parties are actively promoting the elevator matters in the community.
