After arriving at the scene, the police learned that Mr. Liu's family lived on the 9th floor of the building. At the time of the incident, he took the elevator upstairs to go home. Unexpectedly, the elevator had a sudden failure and was stuck on the 5th floor. The 4 people in the elevator were trapped. More than half an hour.

The police from Miaoling Police Station came to the front of the stuck elevator on the 5th floor, worried that the four people trapped in the elevator for a long time would have adverse effects such as heatstroke and tension. The police kept shouting and communicating with the trapped people through the elevator to keep the trapped people emotionally stable.

The police told the Jimu News reporter that after the incident, the property department of the community had contacted maintenance personnel to repair the power system. In order to gain rescue time, they immediately dialed 120 and asked medical staff to rush to the scene as soon as possible to cooperate with the rescue. The police said that they, together with fire rescue personnel, used professional rescue tools to tear open the elevator door and handed water to the four trapped people to replenish their physical strength.
The extreme eye news reporter learned that after 15 minutes of emergency repair and rescue, the on-site personnel rescued Mr. Liu and other four trapped people from the elevator and let them rest and recover their physical strength in the nearby ventilation window. Subsequently, the police assisted the medical staff on the scene to send four people to hospital for treatment.
The property staff of the community said that they will arrange personnel to conduct safety inspections on all elevators and public facilities in the community. Once problems are found, they will be repaired and maintained in time to avoid similar incidents from happening again.
