Use the escalator that does not pass the inspection! A supermarket will face the highest 300000 fine!

The use of inspected and qualified elevators is an important guarantee for travel safety, but a supermarket in Dayi, Chengdu, ignores safety and uses unqualified elevators without authorization.

Recently, the Chengdu Dayi County Market Supervision Bureau found in its daily inspection that the emergency stop signs of two escalators used in a supermarket did not meet the requirements. After a detailed understanding of the situation, law enforcement officers found that the problem did not stop there: the two escalators in use were previously unqualified by the Chengdu Special equipment Inspection and Research Institute, and the supermarket used the two escalators without rectification.

Dayi County Market Supervision Bureau immediately filed an investigation into the supermarket's suspected use of uninspected or unqualified elevators.

It has been found out that the supermarket's continued use of unqualified elevators violates the third paragraph of Article 40 of the the People's Republic of China special equipment safety law, which stipulates that "special equipment without regular inspection or unqualified inspection shall not continue to be used. According to Article 84 of the the People's Republic of China Special Equipment Safety Law, the use of uninspected or unqualified elevators will face an administrative penalty of up to 300000 yuan.

At present, the case is under further investigation.

The Dayi County Market Supervision Bureau reminded that as a special equipment, the elevator has a regular inspection cycle of one year; the elevator user should strengthen the safety management of the elevator, strictly implement the provisions of the special equipment safety technical specifications, and be responsible for the safety of the elevator. One month before the expiration of the qualified validity period, submit regular inspection requirements to the special equipment inspection agency, and place the regular inspection mark in a prominent position of the special equipment, elevators that have failed the inspection shall not be used. The use of elevators that have not been regularly inspected or failed to pass the regular inspection is a potential safety hazard. The general public can promptly report to the local market supervision department if they find that the elevator has not been inspected within the time limit.
