On April 24, the reporter learned from the Market Supervision Bureau of Lingshan County, Qinzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region that recently, the bureau investigated and dealt with an illegal case in which the elevator failed to declare the regular inspection of the elevator in time according to the regulations, resulting in the overdue inspection of the elevator and affecting the safe travel of the masses. According to the relevant person in charge of the bureau, on January 4 this year, when market supervision and law enforcement officers carried out a special equipment safety inspection on a community in Lingshan County in accordance with the law, they found that the regular inspection of the three elevators in use in the community was valid in January 2023. The company managing the community failed to declare to the special equipment inspection agency and accept the inspection one month before the expiration of the inspection validity period as required. Immediately, the law enforcement officers issued the "Special Equipment Safety Supervision Instruction" in accordance with the law, ordering the management company to declare the regular inspection materials of the above three elevators to the special equipment inspection agency before January 31, 2023 and accept inspection. On February 1, when law enforcement officers reviewed the community, they found that the management company had not implemented the rectification as required within the time limit, and the elevators that had not been regularly inspected were still in use, which had a great impact on the travel safety of the masses and was suspected of violating the relevant provisions of the the People's Republic of China Special equipment Safety Law. Therefore, law enforcement officers filed a case for investigation in accordance with the law.

The use of elevators is related to the safety of people's lives and property and social stability, and regular inspection is an important part of eliminating safety hazards and ensuring the safe operation of elevators." The relevant person in charge of the Lingshan County Market Supervision Bureau emphasized that safety is no trivial matter, and any small negligence may cause immeasurable losses. Elevator users should strictly follow the regulations and declare regular inspections on elevators one month before the expiration of the inspection period.
