An elevator in a residential area in Changsha suddenly broke down and fell rapidly. Three people were injured by being thrown into the air and smashed to the ground.
At about 20 o'clock on August 26, an elevator failure and falling accident occurred in a residential building in Zhongfang Ruizhi International Community, Furong District, Changsha City, causing three owners in the elevator car to be injured. After nearly an hour of rescue, the three injured were sent to hospital for treatment. At present, there are still two injured in hospital for treatment.
On August 27, the headquarters of the elevator brand involved sent people to carry out on-site inspection, and the cause of the accident was under investigation.

On the morning of August 27, the reporter came to the incident area and found Mr. Li, the owner of the elevator at the time of the incident.
Mr. Li, who lives on the 24th floor, told reporters that when he went out alone and took the elevator downstairs for a walk, two more owners entered the elevator, the owners on the 22nd and 15th floors.
"The elevator stopped suddenly during the downward movement and got stuck." Mr. Li recalled with lingering fear that when the elevator ran to the third floor, it suddenly stopped and swung up and down. "I hurried to press the other floors. The keys failed and there was no response. Then all the keys went out instantly."
Mr. Li said that before he could react, the elevator suddenly fell down rapidly. "At that time, it felt like the sky was spinning. The three of us flew up and then hit the floor." Mr. Li told reporters that after the elevator recovered smoothly, the three people could only sit on the floor and wait for rescue.
"My injury was the lightest, with a slight bruise on my thigh, and the other two owners were already unable to move. They were ready to save themselves at the time." Mr. Li first called the property and then contacted the fire department. It was not until about 10 o'clock that three people were sent to hospital for treatment.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, and the property promises to bear the medical expenses.
The elevator monitoring showed that at 20: 26: 20 on August 26, the elevator suddenly stopped running. At 26 minutes and 36 seconds, the elevator suddenly ran violently, and all the people in the elevator were thrown up, and the tallest person was thrown to the top of the car.
"At that time, the elevator was like a roller coaster. The whole thing was weightlessness." The owner, Ms. Wu, told reporters that her husband was the most seriously injured, with two transverse bones interrupted by his waist, and is still receiving treatment in the hospital.
"If the old man and the child were in the elevator at the time of the incident, I didn't dare to think about it." Ms. Wu said that the elevator in the community often has problems, and the owners have reflected to the property company.
The reporter found from the inspection report posted in the elevator that the latest inspection date of the elevator was August 17.
"After the incident, we immediately rushed to the scene to cooperate with the rescue." The person in charge of the property said that after receiving a call for help from the trapped owner, he rushed to the scene as soon as possible to cooperate with fire rescue personnel to carry out rescue. The person in charge said that the property company sent six staff to the hospital to accompany, "the property company will also be responsible for the medical expenses caused by the accident."
On the afternoon of August 27, the reporter called the person in charge of the elevator, saying that at present, the headquarters has sent professionals to carry out on-site inspection and maintenance, and the cause of the elevator accident is still under investigation.
