At about 18:00 on March 28, 2020, at a construction site in Mazhuangqiao Town, Qingfeng County, Puyang City, a construction worker accidentally fell into a 4-meter-deep elevator shaft in critical condition. After receiving the police, the Qingfeng County Brigade of the Puyang City Fire Rescue Detachment immediately dispatched 2 fire rescue vehicles and 12 officers and soldiers to the rescue.
After the fire rescue personnel arrived at the scene, the investigation found that the fallen man was located at the bottom of the elevator shaft, about 4 meters away from the elevator exit on the first floor, and his body was injured in many places, covered with blood and unable to move. Due to the dark light at the scene, the firefighters set up a mobile lighting lamp at the elevator shaft to illuminate the scene. Then the two firefighters wore safety suspenders and fixed safety ropes and went down to the bottom of the elevator shaft to lift the trapped man onto a multifunctional stretcher for fixation to avoid secondary injuries during the rescue process. After the final rescue conditions are ready, another group of firefighters outside the well pull the rescue rope, and the firefighters in the well pull and guide. Rescuers at the scene continued to appease the trapped workers. After nearly 15 minutes of intense rescue, the trapped workers were successfully rescued and handed over to 120 emergency personnel to take them to the hospital for treatment.
Afterwards, after understanding, before the worker was in distress, he pushed the construction trolley on the first floor to take the elevator upstairs, but due to the elevator failure, the door opened when the elevator platform did not reach the first floor, and the man did not notice the accident. Several workers rushed to hear the cry for help and called 119 for help.
