When a visitor arrives, the owner can click the "visitor pass" button in the App to share the two-dimensional code for taking the elevator.
As of May 17, 75 "elevator buses" have been officially put into use in the community, and 39 are waiting for acceptance one after another. It is expected that all of them will be put into use by the end of the month. It is understood that the "elevator bus" is installed by the elevator company for the owners free of charge and provides corresponding services. The owners of the residential area only need to pay for the number of rides, one yuan at a time. This model is a good solution to the problem of the difficulty of installing elevators in the past, and provides convenience for the residents of the community. In addition, the elevator company will continue to be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the elevators.
According to reports, the "elevator bus" implemented in this community in Hangzhou can not only effectively solve the problem of "starting" installation, but also straighten out the operation and maintenance problems after elevator installation. And the reason why it can get everyone's praise is also because it is more important to adapt to local conditions: First, the community is an apartment-style resettlement community, and most of the residents are working-class, and each family is under pressure to share tens of thousands of yuan in installation costs; Second, there are elevator companies that intend to take advantage of the opportunity of the renovation of old communities to innovate and try in this field; and, residents of this district in Hangzhou can accept the application of new technology in elevators and charge 1 yuan for each elevator ride.
In fact, in addition to Hangzhou, Beijing in recent years is also exploring the implementation of similar "elevator bus" initiatives. According to reports: In Beijing, the installation of elevators in old communities mainly adopts three methods: "agent construction and leasing", property rights unit funding, and owner self-financing and self-construction. Among them, "agent construction lease" means that the owner entrusts a third party as the main body of implementation, which is responsible for the installation of elevators and subsequent maintenance. The owner pays by credit card or on schedule, without residents' upfront investment.
"Elevator bus" is a new attempt to install elevators in old residential areas. It is a good thing to install elevators in old buildings, especially for those elderly people who live in high-rise buildings with inconvenient legs and feet. However, such a good thing that is convenient and beneficial to the people is often "stuck" in reality ".
The reason is that, on the one hand, different residents have different demands. High-level residents are looking forward to installing them quickly, but low-level residents feel that they can't use them. They are also worried that installing elevators will affect their ventilation, lighting and even safety. On the other hand, it is also related to the problem of money. The installation of an elevator costs hundreds of thousands of yuan, and low-level residents are unwilling to pay, although local governments have subsidies, but how the rest of the money is divided is also a tricky matter.
In fact, in order to solve the problem of installing elevators, various places have been actively exploring. In response to the "difficulty in starting", Beijing made it clear for the first time in the "Beijing Old Community Comprehensive Renovation Work Manual" issued in the first half of 2020: multi-storey residential buildings are equipped with elevators, and the owners of more than 2/3 of the units agree, and other owners do not hold objections. Opinions can be implemented. Although this requirement is lower than the previous threshold of 100 per cent of residents, it is still not easy for all owners not to object.

In order to dispel the worries of low-level residents, the neighborhood committee not only held many residents' meetings, but also called in the elevator company to ask everyone to raise questions face to face, discuss them face to face and even solve them face to face.
Director Zhang told us that the best way to dispel the residents' concerns is to let them see the renovated community with their own eyes, and to find professionals for planning and design according to the general needs of the residents and the actual situation of the community. At the same time, it is also necessary to guide the high and low-level residents to think differently.
We can see that the installation of elevators in old residential areas should have a variety of realistic conditions and factors. Although "elevator bus" is good, it can not be applied mechanically. Therefore, when learning from good experiences and practices like "elevator bus", we should have more wisdom of "time", "place" and "people.
