According to the Qilu Evening News, on February 10, Mr. Li (surnamed Hua), a citizen of Jinan, Shandong, reported that he worked in an office building in Jinan. Due to frequent elevator outages, the elevator hall was severely crowded during the rush hour every day. A colleague was squeezed and fractured.
Mr. Li said that when waiting for the elevator, he felt like he was being driven in, and some colleagues were injured. "The arm was broken and the chest was bleeding."
Mr. Li said that the whole company has great opinions on elevators. One is being late for work, and the other is a safety hazard. "Elevators always have safety failures, and they break down every day. Like yesterday, it was more serious. Three of the six elevators broke down".
Mr. Li also said that the security guards also shouted and did not intervene too much. I also made comments to the property. The feedback was that it could be repaired that afternoon, but by the next morning, there was still an elevator in a stopped state.
In this regard, the person in charge of the property said that someone had been squeezed and injured, but there was no fracture. "I just squeezed my hand, and there was no fracture. Because there were a lot of people in Building 7, this thing could not be said to be the cause of the property. Because there were few elevators during the construction, and it happened to be the rush hour in the morning".
The person in charge also said that there was no situation that the elevators were shut down every day. "because of the weather, there was an elevator on the third floor underground, where there might be a spring, which always seeped water".
At present, security personnel have been arranged to maintain order. The next step will be to strengthen elevator maintenance and take relevant measures to alleviate elevator congestion.
